Courtney Winterbauer | Elite AG

With over a decade of experience and racing USA Triathlon Age Group National Championship to Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI; Courtney is a seasoned athlete with prior experience as a former Team USA elite duathlete and regularly competes in long distance running with elite seeded status.

She engages in a variety of distances including Olympic to IRONMAN 70.3 with a few 70.3 IRONMAN World Championship races under the belt and numerous podiums and age group wins.

She is a Bay Area locally based athlete regularly seen crushing the local peloton scene in Portola Valley to training within the wonders of the hills towering near the California coast.

She works as a  certified coach in various disciplines, a personal trainer and mentor at the San Mateo Community College District through Canada College where she inspires the community members and athletes she regularly sees when out training. She jokes she, “can’t really recognize someone most of the time outside of their Lycra or in their swimsuit half the time. I usually recognize the bike or cycling kit first.” She thinks it’s cool to see the small details of consistent training that contributes to the greater picture. She strongly advocates for a solid foundation of strength to “stack the bricks” for performance in the gym and seeing it translate in workouts.

Her passion about sports performance is contagious. She believes in a work and “play” balance. Triathlon, running and cycling is a lifelong activity she holds dearly to her heart with hopes of inspiring the next generation, especially women, that are getting more involved in endurance sports.
